WECON is back again with yet another exhilarating and riveting conference of the year; filled with a lot of networking opportunities, insightful discussions, motivational speeches and much more. Stay tuned to learn more about the conference.

WECON* 18

WECON’18, sponsored by USAID: Punjab Youth Workforce Development Project, was organized on March 31st, 2018 at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) Johar Town, Lahore. The conference provided not only learning but also networking opportunities for future collaboration among startup ecosystem enablers and key stakeholders. Besides Keynote sessions, the day-long conference had panel discussion on the topics of inclusion and investment and funding opportunities. Four parallel breakout sessions were also organized within the conference to provide an immersive learning workshop experience, on subjects of business modeling, design thinking, storytelling and traits of successful entrepreneurship. WECON also hosted a pitch session for Women led Startups and winner startup won the prize money of Rs 50,000 sponsored by Mera Maan (Pvt Ltd).

WECON* 17

Women Entrepreneurship Conference 2017 (WECON’17) was held at the HEC Auditorium, Islamabad on 11th March, 2017, bringing together a veritable ‘Who’s Who’ from Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition to providing a platform for celebrating our iconic women entrepreneurs, WECON’17 also featured in-depth discussions with ecosystem builders, incubators, accelerators, government bodies and fresh startups-highlighting the need for building a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem and highlighting the actions that need to be taken to achieve this.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Nominations must be for a woman-owned businesses or startups.
  2. Must show evidence of determination and drive.
  3. Demonstrate a great business idea or acumen.
  4. Show a thorough understanding of their marketplace.
  5. Provide financial data for the last year.
  6. Provide at least two references.
